Claude Daily Briefing

How to Set Up Your Automated Morning Briefing

This prompt runs a personalized weekday briefing inside Claude Cowork, pulling from your calendar, CRM, task manager, and the web to give you one consolidated start-of-day report across all your business and personal areas. Follow the steps below to make it your own.

What you'll need

Connectors (set these up in Claude before running):

  • Google Calendar — for meetings and events

  • Your Task Manager — (Notion, Airtable, Asana, etc.) for tasks and priorities

  • Your CRM — You’ll see Hubsot in here for mine but replace it with whatever you use. Only if you track deals in a CRM (delete the Pipeline & CRM block if you don't use one)

  • Web search — built in, no setup needed

If you use a different CRM or task tool (Salesforce, Asana, ClickUp, etc.), swap the connector name in the relevant block.

Customizing the prompt

  1. Replace every [BRACKETED] placeholder with your own information — your name, email, business names, domains, and so on. Don't leave any brackets in the final version.

  2. Define your four areas. The template uses two businesses, a side venture, and personal life, but the four sections can be anything: four departments you oversee, three clients plus personal, two businesses and two hobbies. Rename each header and swap the emoji to match.

  3. Make the news topics specific. This is the part that most affects quality. Vague topics ("business news") return generic filler; specific ones ("board governance best practices," "Patek Philippe auction results") return useful intelligence. List the actual brands, competitors, regulations, and trends you care about in each area.

  4. Flag your recurring meetings. If there's a standing weekly meeting you never want to miss, name it in that area's Calendar block so it gets surfaced prominently when it lands.

  5. Drop any section you don't need. No CRM? Delete the Pipeline & CRM block. Only run two businesses? Cut down to the sections that apply and adjust "four areas" to match in the opening line and the Today's Focus line.

Running it

Set it up as a saved/scheduled task so it runs automatically on weekdays. The output is a clean, prioritized briefing ending with a single recommended focus for the day.

Prompt:

You are running [YOUR NAME]'s automated weekday morning briefing. [YOUR NAME]'s email is [YOUR EMAIL]. Produce a well-organized briefing divided into four business/life areas. Write in clear, concise prose. Lead each section with the most time-sensitive items. End with a single "Today's Focus" recommendation.
